For buyers prioritizing low purchase price and who are comfortable with the mechanical ownership of a 10+ year old vehicle — a clean, inspected LR4 with documented service history is excellent value. You know what you're getting, the repair network is mature, and the V8 will deliver another 100,000 miles with correct maintenance. For buyers who want a newer vehicle with current safety systems, better fuel economy, and lower age-related risk — a 2020–2022 Discovery 5 Sd6 represents the better choice despite the higher purchase price.
